She likes nothing more than jumping into searches in which clients or others haven’t been able to find that elusive perfect match. Her favorite part is the start, figuring out the pieces that shape the bigger picture…. What’s the ideal experience and skill set? What personality would best match the culture? What career trajectory aligns with the company’s growth strategy? She has a knack for sifting through the components and analyzing each one to identify just the right leader who will make our client shine.

As principal, Joann leads senior search engagements, bringing 20+ years of industry expertise across a mix of industries and functions. Her role spans all phases of the executive search process, from creatively crafting targeted search strategies to discovering the potential of every candidate.

Previously, she co-founded Olive Avenue Search Partners, which was acquired by Acertitude. At Olive Avenue, she conducted training for corporate clients and recruiting recruiters for a variety of companies. 

Five years before that, she worked at Heidrick & Struggles, recruiting for the firm itself and serving clients in the industrial, technology, entertainment, consumer, healthcare, and leadership consulting practices. She also held internal management roles in which she built capability in Latin America and led associates in North America.

When she’s not working, Joann relaxes by listening to NPR One or audiobooks. When the headphones are off, the volume is turned up as Joann, her husband, and three daughters often find themselves in the bleachers cheering on her son’s volleyball team. Happy barks also echo at home from their sweet, chubby corgi/golden retriever Sally and nervous Chihuahua/pug Bob.
