Melissa Oszustowicz is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Minneapolis office and a member of the Industrial Practice focusing on agribusiness and food.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Melissa was a managing director at another executive search firm where she led the global agribusiness practice. Her experience in agribusiness stems from her work as the chief executive officer for an agricultural risk management company serving private and public clients in the U.S. mainland and Pacific Rim and as legal counsel for a large cacao and chocolate company. She led the work for the development of a genetic repository in the U.S. located in Hawaii.
Throughout her career, Melissa has been recognized for knowledge, passion, and focus in agribusiness. She understands how technology is impacting agribusiness on a local and global scale and her network extends across government, to educational institutions, and the private sector.Education:
Melissa earned her a juris doctorate degree from Syracuse University College of Law, a master’s from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and government from Bowdoin College. She earned a license to practice law (inactive) in New York and California.
