Richard Greene is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and member of Heidrick Consulting. During his career with Heidrick & Struggles, Richard has been a partner, regional practice leader and an executive officer.
From 2015-2018, Richard served as the firm’s chief human resources officer. He was a member of the Management Committee and worked closely with the board of directors on the chair and CEO successions that took place in 2017. Richard championed culture initiatives that established a new purpose and values for the firm. He initiated a visionary diversity & inclusion strategy and remains executive sponsor for our global Accelerating Women’s Excellence program. During his tenure, Heidrick & Struggles grew revenues by over 25% producing record results and providing a total return to shareholders of over 60%.
Earlier in his career, Richard led Heidrick Consulting in the Americas. He was accountable for a regional team that provided CEO succession planning and executive assessment services. Richard has assessed over 1,200 executives across six continents.
Previously Richard was a managing partner and member of the Americas Management Committee at Deloitte Consulting. He also served as chief operating officer of the KIPP Foundation, which is recognized nationally as a model of education reform.
Richard serves on the advisory board of Empirical Hire, based in Tel Aviv, which applies data science and machine learning algorithms to help clients hire talent that performs better and stays longer.Education:
