Emily Amdurer is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of Heidrick Consulting. For more than 15 years, she has helped leaders achieve their strategic goals by helping them develop their individual leadership capabilities around leading transformation. She has worked across several industries including financial services, private equity, industrials, and consumer markets.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Emily founded a leadership consultancy where she coached and assessed c-suite executives, ensuring that organizations had capable leaders effective at successfully driving change initiatives and creating higher performing organizations. She has assessed executive teams to evaluate their complementary capabilities in leading their organizations and helped them created shared visions and align around strategic objectives. Emily has partnered with leadership consultancies in assessing high-growth organizations’ leadership structure, talent and culture, in order to help them deliver on growth goals.
Previously, Emily worked at an executive assessment leadership consultancy as a senior consultant coaching and assessing executives and developing and managing leadership development at Fortune 500 companies. Prior to consulting she worked in learning & development in Citigroup’s Investment Bank and in organizational development at entertainment company, Blue Man Productions. She is passionate about helping leaders and organizations increase their resilience and she continues to conduct research in this area and develop tools and methodology on leading through resilience. Emily has published in academic journals and presents at conferences on the topics of resilience and emotional intelligence.Education:
Emily earned a PhD in organizational behavior from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yeshiva University. She is a professional certified coach with the International Coaching Federation.
