Elmer Velasquez is a partner at Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a core member of the Global Technology Services Practice. He is also a member of the North America CEO & Board Practice as well as the Private Equity and Venture Capital practices.
Elmer specializes in senior-level leadership search assignments across a variety of sectors including professional services, consulting and advisory, IT services and outsourcing, enterprise software, hardware and systems, and business services. He has served leading global organizations, both public and private, as well as several of the top firms in private equity and venture capital and completed successful senior-level searches for chief executive officers, chief operating officers, division general managers, chief strategy officers, global practice leaders, sales and business development leaders, and senior consulting partners.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Elmer served as the head of human resources and corporate services for Indra Sistemas in Asia. Indra is a global technology solutions and services company based in Spain. He also served as the firm’s practice leader for strategy and HR consulting in the region.Education:
He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Business School. He completed advanced studies in industrial and organizational psychology and an undergraduate degree in management engineering from Ateneo de Manila University.
