Thomas Snyder is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Chicago office and a member of the Consumer and CEO & Board practices. Tom has expertise serving clients in consumer products, retail and apparel, consumer digital and media, and hospitality and leisure. He previously led the Consumer Markets Practice globally and was a member of the firm’s management committee.
For more than 20 years in executive search, Tom has executed more than 80 CEO and 100 board assignments for client companies ranging from $500 million to over $400 billion in revenue. He is an expert in C-suite succession across all functions and has extensive private equity experience.
Thomas Snyder joined Heidrick & Struggles from a boutique executive search firm where he was owner-partner. Previously, he served for 16 years as a partner at a global executive search firm in its consumer goods and services practice. There, he focused on CEO, board and C-suite roles and led that firm’s Chicago office and Midwest region for several years.
Prior to his career in executive search, Tom had more than 18 years of line management experience. He served as president, general manager, and assistant to the president and chief operating officer of ConAgra Refrigerated Foods Group. In addition, he was senior vice president of Jacobs Suchard, and vice president at Nestle Foods. Earlier in his career he held numerous roles at Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola.Education:
