Thomas Ho is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Houston office and a member of the Industrial and Financial Services practices, with a focus on senior level search assignments within the natural resources sector across private equity, financial institutions, and public and private corporations. He is also a member of the Financial Officers Practice.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Thomas was with another global executive search firm executing senior level placements within the natural resources, financial services and broader industrial sectors, filling positions in the C-suite, operations, and financial officers. Earlier, Thomas started his corporate career within the financial services sector with both UBS and Goldman Sachs.
Prior to joining the corporate world, Thomas had a nine year career as a professional tennis player. To date he is the youngest player ever to compete at the US Open at 15 years old, and he reached a career high ranking of 85th in singles and 7th as a team in doubles. He was inducted into the Florida Tennis Hall of Fame in 2011.
He is currently serving as a vice president and a member of the Compensation, Budget, and Investment Committee on the board of directors for the United States Tennis Association for the 2015-2016 term.Thomas is also serving on the board for the World Oilman’s Tennis Tournament where the proceeds of the event are distributed to over twenty non-profit organizations.Education:
Thomas obtained a BA in economics from Rice University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa.
