Michele Bonds is a principal based in the Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office, and a member of the global Financial Services and Chief Executive Officer & Board of Directors practices. Michele’s primary focus is on board and c-suite search and advisory work across all financial services sectors with a particular emphasis on work for entities at the intersection of the public, private, and social sectors.
Michele has over a decade of financial services industry experience. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, she was longstanding Chief of Staff to the Senior Chairman of Sullivan & Cromwell, one of the leading law firms serving the financial services industry. Michele supported the firm’s chairman and its financial services practice by managing complex client relationships for regional, community and global banks; government sponsored enterprises (GSEs); government agencies; investment banks; private equity funds; hedge funds; industry trade associations and non-profits. She worked with firm leaders in navigating clients through numerous complex events including in the midst of the financial crisis. Michele also worked on front-line business development initiatives such as digital disruption and marketing & communications and she spearheaded a variety of firm-wide education and best-practices initiatives.
Michele’s earlier career included working in accounting at Sony Studios and in TV syndication sales at Columbia/TriStar among other experiences.Education:
Michele received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in political science, and her Masters of Business Administration and Advanced Management Certificate at Babson College. She is currently the President of the Babson NYC Alumni Board.
