Lexi Burford is a Managing Director in the Healthcare Services practice of  The Diversified Search Group, joining the firm in 2019 following The Diversified Search Group’s acquisition of Grant Cooper. Burford began her work in executive search after a successful career in public accounting in San Francisco, where she focused on major health care consulting firms and technology companies. She played an instrumental role in mergers and acquisitions, as well as in the IPO space. Burford manages searches for both physician executives and administrative leaders. Her healthcare executive search clients include integrated delivery systems, academic medical centers, cancer centers, children’s hospitals, and large group practices.

Burford’s successful searches include those for the senior vice president of value-base care for an integrated health system, chief financial officer for an academic practice plan, president of a large integrated medical group, and chair of medicine at an academic medical center. Burford has conducted searches for senior executives in all sectors of provider-based healthcare, and has developed expertise across a range of roles, including CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CIOs, and CQOs. A major focus of her work is with AAMC institutions, recruiting department chairs and senior associate deans.
