Kate is an executive search consultant with a focus on diversity inclusion and consumer markets based on Heidrick & Struggles’ New York Office.

Kate Rankine is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of the CEO & Board of Directors and the global Consumer practices. She relocated to New York from our London office where she was a key member the UK CEO & Board of Directors and Consumer practices. With more than 13 years of executive search experience, Kate focuses on the appointment of CEOs, chairmen, CFOs, c-suite and non-executive board members for Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies, as well as private equity firms across the retail, consumer, and financial services sectors globally.

Kate joined Heidrick & Struggles as a partner in 2016 following the acquisition of JCA Group, a top level executive search firm with a strong reputation for high profile assignments. Prior to joining JCA Group as a partner in 2006, Kate was an award-winning journalist at the Daily Telegraph newspaper for 17 years. She was the deputy business editor for seven years and spent three years in New York as the US business correspondent, where she reported on major US business stories, as well as writing Op-Eds for the Daily Telegraph.Education:

Kate earned a degree in politics and American history from the University of East Anglia, and was awarded a diploma in newspaper journalism from City University.
