John Rubinetti is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of the global Private Equity Practice. He recruits investment professionals, operating partners, and business development professionals for both the general and limited partner communities.
John’s general partner clients include buyout funds, growth equity funds, special situations funds, distressed funds, and specialty lending funds. His work with clients in the limited partner community include endowments, sovereign wealth funds, fund of funds, and insurance companies.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, John worked for a contingency recruitment firm in New York. He helped develop the firm’s recruitment capabilities in direct lending and various illiquid credit strategies. John began his career with Ally Financial in its commercial finance division. He supported the underwriting and portfolio management teams to provide financing for buyouts, acquisitions, and recapitalizations to equity sponsors and middle-market companies.Education:
John earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Fairfield University.
