Ignacio Perez is partner in charge of Heidrick & Struggles in Mexico and a member of the Consumer Markets and Health Care and Life Sciences Practices. He is also a member of the CEO & Board Practice. He focuses on filling C-level positions for consumer and pharmaceutical companies, as well as board members. Ignacio’s professional experience spans more than 32 years working for large Mexican and international corporations. He originally joined Heidrick & Struggles to develop the Technology Practice in Mexico, and was instrumental in positioning the firm in the Mexican market. Ignacio has also worked for leading private equity firms.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Ignacio was president of Thomas & Betts in Mexico, where he was responsible for the sales, marketing, service, operations, and their new strategy to reposition products for the electrical, telecommunications and electronics markets, developing the industrial and telecom businesses in Mexico.
Previously, Ignacio was the Latin American director with Motorola’s Information Systems Group (UDS and Codex), where he positioned Motorola as a leading competitor in the sector, achieving #1 position in the retail modems, being the only country in the world with that position. He started his career at Grupo Condumex, where he worked for almost eight years. In his last position there, he served export manager for Latin America and Eastern Europe for Electrical and Telecommunication Products, where he gained a deep knowledge of the industrial and telecom sectors in the region.Education:
Ignacio holds an electrical and electronic engineering degree from La Salle University in Mexico City and completed the Top Management Program at the IPADE University. He is fluent in Spanish and English, and holds Mexican and Spanish citizenships.
