Barry is a Managing Partner based in the Atlanta office of Diversified Search. As a senior member of the Higher Ed and Healthcare Practice, Barry leads executive level searches for higher education institutions, academic medical centers, research institutions and integrated healthcare delivery systems. Barry’s passion is identifying strategic hires while providing practical guidance in succession planning. Barry brings over 25 of experience where he has been deeply involved in leadership searches for technology companies, healthcare centers and academic medicine institutions.
In addition to his achievements in executive search, Barry brings progressive and successful leadership experience earned in major corporate and academic environments, including AT&T, UAB Health System, Memorex Telex, Cisco Systems, and software giant Computer Associates. Barry led the emerging markets efforts at Cisco, where he developed a team of business leaders in strategic sectors to drive emergent business markets. His experience in corporate environments has proven to be invaluable in leading searches, given the business imperatives to differentiate and excel in today’s environment.
Barry builds effective leadership teams capable of moving mindshare and market share, who in turn create a marketplace advantage on behalf of the organizations he represents. He is instrumental in providing successful outcomes recruiting diversity candidates on behalf of his clients. Barry also served on the NCAA Inclusion Committee. Currently, Barry is an active member ACHE, HIMSS, AONE, and many state hospital associations.
